Things are always changing and it’s no different for a piano teacher. It’s important to continue with their professional development to stay current. I have several programs that I use in my studio, and I just came across another program I quite like. Currently I am working to become a Certified Teacher of The Cascade Method. This program is designed for piano teachers who want use fun and modern methods in their studio, inspiring students to develop a lifelong passion for creating music through fun teaching techniques. A tool called “NoteMatch” is a bridge between reading music and understanding where those notes are located on the piano. Adding pop songs to the menu are also fun for students.
